Life is lived on a spectrum, and never on the extremes, so why look at it in only black and white? It is in the places where these extremes meet, does life really happen. Take some time to breathe, see the negative and positive spaces of life and how the black and white mingle within them to create stark contrasts or subtle beauty. Just like when the whites of love and forgiveness fluidly move into the blacks of anger and resentment, lives change and so do canvases.

ABSTRACT WISPS

This collection is a set of six works. The process of creating these works resembles how we behave or like to be treated, or treat others in life. These artworks were created by putting Isopropyl alcohol on synthetic paper and then adding black alcohol inks to it. They were let to spread & dry on their own. Many a times in life we do things not knowing how they will turn out. We make our efforts but the results are left to time to show us. There is a similarity between fluidity of inks and life. Many colors mix into each other and create something unique & beautiful. Same is the experiences of our lives. They mix together and create a new shift for us. Just like inks can be reactivated, & new works can be created or old works can be edited, same way we can make changes in our lives by adding more skill or knowledge or even by unlearning set patterns. Just like every piece of alcohol ink is a unique work of art despite the same resources, similarly no two lives are the same.

BLURRY LINE

Life is mostly a play of grey. There are a few whites and blacks to it.  Over a period of time the lines get blurry. The black turns grey and the white too. There remains no right or wrong. Our experiences change our truth. Our truth may not be or remain someone’s else’s truth.

But that the end, there is my truth, there is your truth, and then there’s the truth.

Blurry line is about being nonjudgmental to others. And ourselves too. We become harsh to ourselves for not sticking to our learned set patterns and judge others for changing or growing. Life keeps moving on and changing and the lines of black and white. There are no right or wrong, good or bad. become blurry and neutralize.
